MOAS Guild “Plays for the Kids”
On April 7, the Guild of the Museum of Arts and Sciences presents their Fourth Annual Children’s Museum Golf Classic to benefit the Museum of Arts and Sciences (MOAS) and primarily it’s Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum. Funds raised through the Golf Classic will be used to enhance the hands-on children’s science center as well as the interactive exhibits. Mike Armstrong, Golf Chair, said, “We hope to build on the success of the Tournament and increase the money raised from year to year. The Children’s Museum puts smiles on so many faces that it’s really a pleasure and a privilege to raise funds and awareness for the Children’s Museum.”
The Guild invites everyone to “Play for the kids” on April 7 at the prestigious Club de Bonmont course at Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club in Ormond Beach. The tournament is a four-player, team scramble with registration at 9 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. Entry fee is 5 per person or 0 per foursome. Again this year, we are offering Plantation Bay Golf Members the discounted rate of per person. For those golfers who wish to participate in a nine-hole event, we have a later tee time on the Westlake course. The discounted cost for Plantation Bay Golf Members is and 5 per person for non-members.
Each participant will receive range balls for practice prior to play, a dozen golf balls, a Slazenger golf shirt, hat, and other items in the golfer’s commemorative gift pack. Complimentary beverages, snacks and sandwiches will be provided on-course. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase. THE BIG PRIZE will be the opportunity to win ,000 for a hole-in-one!
Each member of the winning team will receive a professionally designed and hand crafted trophy. This trophy is exclusive to the Children’s Museum Golf Tournament and donated by Guild members, Dr. Donald Keene and his wife Carolyn.
After the tournament the Awards Ceremony will be held and the silent auction winners will be announced. Golfers and guests are invited to stay for Club de Bonmont’s delicious buffet dinner starting at 3:30 p.m. Prior reservations are requested. The buffet dinner is per person.
The fourth annual Children’s Museum Golf Classic is presented by the Guild of the Museum of Arts and Sciences. The Golf Classic is part of the Guild’s year-long commitment to support MOAS and it’s Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum.
